Description:
PANTAKRIZ Injection contains Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by selectively inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells. It provides rapid and sustained control of gastric acid secretion and is used in the management of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders.
Therapeutic Indications:
-
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
-
Erosive esophagitis
-
Gastric and duodenal ulcers

Zollinger–Ellison syndrome and other pathological hypersecretory conditions
-
Prevention and treatment of stress-related mucosal damage in hospitalized patients
-
Adjunctive acid suppression therapy in upper gastrointestinal bleeding
Mechanism of Action:
Pantoprazole irreversibly inhibits the gastric proton pump (H⁺/K⁺ ATPase) in parietal cells, blocking the final step in gastric acid secretion and thereby reducing gastric acidity.
Dosage and Administration:
PANTAKRIZ Injection is indicated when oral administration is not feasible. The usual recommended dose is 40 mg once daily or as directed by the physician, administered as a slow intravenous injection or infusion.
